The launcher in question truly turned out to be extremely distinctive. It boasts a wealth of 3D elements. Settings are rich with various animation types: for home screen operations and navigation in the main menu. However, the most intriguing aspect lies in the fine details rarely given attention in launchers.
For example, when moving shortcuts to the home screen, the dock containing icons slides down, while the pages themselves form above. The user can quickly fill the home screen space with swift flicking taps. An equally interesting feature is selecting all icons at once simply by swiping across them. The icons can then be moved to another home screen, placed into a folder, or deleted entirely. In Next Launcher there is a grid, but there is little practical need for it, since each icon can be placed anywhere on the display and can also be rotated.
The app deserves special praise for its excellent optimization. The interface loads instantly and runs noticeably faster than TouchWiz or Go Launcher. Overall, Next Launcher is a good alternative to Google Now Launcher and other home screens.
