Description
Governor of Poker
The Governor of Poker application goes beyond a standard Android poker simulator. By investing your tournament earnings into in-game real estate, you work your way up to becoming the ultimate ruler.
Gameplay mechanics
As noted, the core loop combines traditional card matches at diverse tables with property acquisition funded by your poker profits.
Your journey kicks off in El Paso, a modest frontier outpost with just a handful of buildings. The initial real estate generates passive income to help fund your head-to-head poker matches.
Game story
Surprisingly, Governor of Poker features a distinct narrative arc. Participants must face off in one-on-one duels against a variety of card sharks as computer opponents progressively get tougher.
Eventually, you must challenge Jack Bullworth, the Governor of Texas, who seeks to outlaw gambling across the state while simultaneously ranking among the top ten card players.
Key features
To challenge anyone on the top ten leaderboard, you need to collect special stars given for winning tournaments. These competitive events also serve as your primary money-maker while playing at five-person tables.
Claiming victory in a tournament awards a substantial payout. Nevertheless, luxury properties cannot be purchased right away; you must first buy entry-level houses nearby to unlock them.
