A simple level system will allow you to move from level to level, choosing unique skills for the experience gained. The point is that each run is unique: in one you will upgrade buckshot and be able to throw multiple throwing knives at once, while in another you will upgrade auras.
Select skills to match your combat style as well as enemy stats; all monsters are unique and also have skills, so you will have to try hard. Do not forget to also unlock new items to make your hero stronger.
