Description
Calculating a projectile's trajectory has never been easier than with Strelok Pro, a highly versatile ballistic computer. Beyond using Lapua radar data or the advanced G1 and G7 models, it can even compute trajectories without ballistic parameters. It also goes further by calculating Coriolis drift and longitudinal deviation caused by crosswinds.
Powder Sensitivity Factor and Velocity Calculation
When it comes to Strelok Pro, its ability to determine the powder's sensitivity coefficient stands out. Before the app can run these calculations, it needs some key inputs: muzzle velocity and temperature. Measure the muzzle speed at different temperatures and enter the results into the provided table, keeping in mind that the temperature readings should differ by at least 5 degrees.
Once you've filled in the required fields, simply wait for the app to process the data. Using the table, Strelok Pro calculates the powder's sensitivity coefficient and also determines the muzzle velocity at the actual temperature. Notably, if you enter at least two velocity and temperature pairs, the app can quickly work out the powder temperature sensitivity coefficient.
Ballistic Coefficient
Strelok Pro makes target aiming simpler with just a few optimized steps. Start by entering the range parameter in the table. Next, input the cartridge parameters, which is the ballistic coefficient. You can find this information in the app's ammunition or cartridge database, which you can download and search through.
Important Notes Before Pressing the Calculate Button
Once the muzzle velocity, powder sensitivity factor, and other parameters are confirmed, you can start the automatic calculation with the Calculate button. Keep a few things in mind, though, such as temporarily disabling certain features. In particular, turn off the Coriolis effect and crosswind longitudinal deflection calculations. A handy tip for saving time is to set the rifle parameters to 0.
Truing by Ballistic Code and Custom Requirements
Apart from calculating the actual altitude without a ballistic coefficient, the approach depends on each user's needs. If you want to determine the actual altitude using the ballistic coefficient, perform truing before pressing Calculate. This step requires two essential inputs: muzzle velocity and firing distance. For anyone unfamiliar, the distance must always be greater than 0. Determining the true altitude is key to achieving accuracy on target.
Highly Intelligent Coriolis Effect Calculation
To help you hit your target precisely, Strelok Pro can calculate the Coriolis effect. It provides a rough estimate of how far the bullet's path will deviate relative to the inertial reference frame toward the target. Simply enable this feature in the on state, then open the new page and tap the globe icon. For this version, you must also allow the app to access the GPS navigation system.
Connecting a Mobile Weather Station
Strelok Pro offers many other useful and appealing features. One of them is direct communication with your mobile device's weather station. Having up-to-date weather information helps the app perform more accurate calculations, which in turn improves your aim. To use this feature, Bluetooth must be enabled on your device.
Using the Camera to Calculate Angle Corrections
Beyond straight lines of sight, such as a flat highway, shooters often face more complex aiming situations. In these cases, the app measures the slope and inclination angles for you. It requires access to your camera, since the measurement is performed through it. This makes Strelok Pro a standout choice for handling demanding shooting conditions.
Backup and Data Sync
Your data is never lost. Instead, it is stored through third-party services under your personal ownership. Currently, you can create a backup library with either Dropbox or Google Drive. Your important data is backed up and synchronized so it remains easy to access later.
