Description
Saya no uta is an anime-inspired psychological visual novel featuring a bleak and tense narrative designed to unnerve even the most dedicated enthusiasts of avant-garde fiction. The story follows Fuminori, a university student who miraculously pulls through a devastating automobile crash that claims his parents' lives. While advanced medical care ultimately saves his physical body, his sensory perception is permanently distorted. As a result of this trauma, his environment, everyday items, and other people manifest to him as grotesque masses of decaying tissue and organs. Teetering on the edge of a complete mental breakdown within this living nightmare, he encounters Saya at the medical facility. Out of all the horrors surrounding him, she is the sole individual who registers as a charming, ordinary young woman. Bound by a shared desperation to locate her missing father, they embark on a troubling quest that spirals into dark and shocking outcomes.
