Description
Proximity Screen Off is a handy utility that gives you finer control over how your phone behaves. Its main job is to switch off the display as soon as it detects that you are no longer using it. To do this, it relies on the proximity sensor, sometimes called the touch switch, to tell when something is close to the screen. Setting it up is quick: a straightforward settings menu lets you adjust the key options in just a few steps. Most people will find that it noticeably extends battery life, which in turn means you need to reconnect to your network less often.
