The number in the upper right corner of each scoop shows its rank, and scoops of the same rank can be merged by dragging them together. Merging raises the rank, and the higher the rank, the tougher the ground you can dig. Each stage has a simple goal: at the top of the screen you'll see a "GOAL" along with one treasure box. The chest sits at the bottom of the dig, so opening even one clears the stage.

As you progress, more slots open up for placing tools. As the explanations and videos so far show, the game system is extremely simple: buy a shovel, merge it, and drop it. It might seem like you'll get bored quickly, but it's surprisingly addictive. Each run lasts only a few seconds and restarts instantly, so you'll keep playing and telling yourself, "Just one more time..." The effect of the ground shattering is also fresh and enjoyable. It's a perfect game for killing time, so give it a try if you're interested.
"Merge Miners" Early Game Tips
If you can't dig through with a shovel, switch to a pickaxe. It all comes down to merging and arranging your shovels, so if you play steadily, you should be able to clear each stage. Since the hardness of the ground changes depending on the row that drops, placing your tool in a less demanding spot can help you clear tougher stages. If you're still stuck, you can get a stronger scoop by watching ads, as shown in the image on the right, so it's worth considering. With such fast restarts, dropping tools and saving up money to gradually upgrade your shovel is quite fun.
