Description

LiveATC for Android offers a fast and simple way to tune in to live conversations between pilots and air traffic controllers at many airports worldwide.

With LiveATC for Android, you can browse airports by U.S. state or by country and tune in to live air traffic chatter at or near a chosen airport. The "Nearby" feature helps you locate airports close to your current position. Any channel can be saved to your Favorites list for quick access later.

The LiveATC Network (http://liveatc.net) is the largest network of streaming audio feeds dedicated entirely to aviation. It currently covers more than 1,200 airports across the globe, with over 2,000 audio feeds and new additions every day!

Some of the device permissions the app needs, and why:

• The "Location" permission lets the app find airports in your area when you use the "Nearby" feature.

• The "Device ID & Call Information" permission allows the app to detect incoming or outgoing phone calls, so it can automatically pause the audio stream and keep it from interfering with your call.

* IMPORTANT NOTICE * Before purchasing, please confirm that your country, city, or airports of interest are covered by LiveATC by checking http://liveatc.net. Coverage is currently unavailable in the U.K., Belgium, Germany, Iceland, India, Italy, New Zealand, Spain, and certain other countries where streaming ATC communications is restricted by local law. Available airports may change at any time. LiveATC owns and operates many of the receivers in the network, while many others are run by volunteers working with LiveATC. Some airports may become unavailable for reasons outside LiveATC's control. Also, feeds are not guaranteed to be online 24/7, although LiveATC works hard to keep them running and has a strong uptime record.
