Description
Granny Remake is a refreshed take on the cult horror game from FerriteLabs, once again putting you in a desperate fight for survival against a deranged old woman. Just like before, the action takes place in a deserted mansion with warped walls, caved-in ceilings and rooms that have been sealed off for years. In this eerie setting, the protagonist soon comes to, having taken a shortcut through the forest and stumbled straight into the deadly traps described in local legend. How will the story end? And is it truly possible to escape the merciless, terrifying and unhinged grandmother?
Atmosphere, Gameplay and Difficulty
The core ideas behind Granny Remake remain the same, but they now carry a rather unusual charm. They push you to pay closer attention to your surroundings, peer into the shadows and read every note you find, hoping to get a step closer to the truth. Interestingly, the balance has shifted a little as well: surviving in this constantly changing world is now considerably harder.
The local granny has also grown more aggressive. Just as in the original PC version, the hero must find a way out within a limited time, but now they'll need to move even faster (a true Game of the Year contender for adventure fans), and a single mistake will bring up the Game Over screen straight away…
