Description
Cave Story is an iconic retro action platformer where players tackle a gauntlet of demanding stages to rescue an innocent community from a ruthless scientist's grasp. The journey kicks off when an amnesiac young boy wakes up inside a dim, eerie cavern with zero recollection of his identity, name, or how he arrived there. Wandering out into the open, he discovers a peaceful settlement facing imminent destruction at the hands of a sinister madman. With the villagers' survival resting entirely on his shoulders, our mysterious hero must venture forward, battle relentless foes, and foil the villain's plans.
While retaining the beloved core gameplay of the original retro masterpiece, this updated edition delivers substantial modern enhancements. Visuals have received a major overhaul to render crisply on contemporary high-resolution screens. On top of that, the entire iconic soundtrack has been re-recorded with higher fidelity audio, accompanied by reworked boss encounters, additional game modes, and numerous extra gameplay tweaks.
